Make sure you've contacted Oregon's Department of Justice (503-229-5725), as you are required to obtain a fundraiser license. Ensure your Fundraiser is under the DOJ's legal protection; I encourage you to visit their website for further information:

If you plan to make less than $2,000 - no license is required (typically, up to 100 guests).
If you plan to make more than $2,000, but less than $10,000 for a single event, you'll need a Class B license (typically, 100-400 guests).
If you plan to make more than $10,000 on a single event, you'll need a Class A license (typically, over 400-500 guests).
Generally,
- Your company should be registered as a non-profit thru the Oregon Corporation Division for a specified time prior to you application.
- The Department of Justice application and fee are usually required 60 days prior to your event.
- You must use a licensed Monte Carlo Event Contractor... and Rose's IS.
- No cash may be given away as a prize.
